WEDNESDAY 28 AUGUST

Gates open: 17:00

RECORDING: 18:00-21:00

Gates close: 21:00

We've joined forces with the ever-popular BBC One programme, Songs of Praise, to record a TV special at Northwood House and to celebrate the Wight Proms. This exclusive recording will be hosted by Aled Jones, and the Songs of Praise team are looking for local, enthusiastic people to join the congregation for an outdoor evening of hymns and worship songs.

Series Executive Producer/Director, Emyr Afan says: “This recording is a wonderful opportunity for local singers to come together for an evening of music-making for broadcast on BBC One. Songs of Praise has been championing Christian music for over 55 years and continues to be enormously popular due to recordings like these and we really hope you can come along. We have not filmed on the Isle of Wight for a very long time, so we are very excited to return!”

The congregation will be joined by international tenor superstars Aled Jones and Russell Watson and The Kingdom Choir, as they record music for the UK’s Favourite Hymns programme (due for broadcast in late September) as well as for a programme from the Isle of Wight (airing later in the autumn).

The booking system for this is different to the other shows, and instead you must email using the link below to request tickets:

opening times

Our gates will open at the times stated above, at which time you can visit our bar, hot & cold drinks stand and enjoy the delicious wares from various artisan food stalls. There will be entertainment on the outdoor stage from when the gates open, so that you can enjoy a picnic on the lawn and save your spot to enjoy the main show.

* Family tickets are for a maximum of 2 adults.

Please note

  • You can read our FAQs here for more information.

  • These are outdoor concerts. Only VIP tickets include seating, and other ticket-holders are expected to sit on the lawn or bring their own seating.
