Directions to the Isle of Wight
If you're travelling to the Wight Proms, here is some handy information about how to get here! The venue address is:
Northwood House, Ward Avenue, Cowes, Isle of Wight, PO31 8AZ
10-15 minutes uphill walk from the Red Jet passenger ferry terminal.
Southern Vectis service: Route 1 from Newport - alight at "Park Gates" stop. Route 32 at "Northwood House" stop. Route 4 or 5 to East Cowes, then take the floating bridge across to West Cowes, which is a 20-minute walk to Northwood House.
From the UK mainland you can travel to the Isle of Wight by ferry from:
Southampton direct to Cowes (20 mins by foot then 10-15 minutes uphill walk/55 mins on vehicle ferry then 20 mins drive if chain ferry is not working)
Lymington to Yarmouth (40 mins on ferry then 25 mins drive)
Portsmouth to Fishbourne (45 mins on ferry then 20 mins drive)
FastCat from Portsmouth to Ryde (22 mins foot passengers only then 1h-1h15m via bus or 25 mins in a taxi)
The fastest way to get to The Wight Proms from the mainland is via Red Jet (foot passengers only) because it goes direct to Cowes and takes just 20 minutes between Cowes and Southampton Town Quay. The Red Funnel vehicle ferry takes c.55 minutes between Southampton and East Cowes.

There are mooring options in Cowes: Cowes Yacht Haven, Shepherd's Wharf Marina and various sailing clubs, plus in East Cowes at East Cowes Marina, subject to availability and eligibility. East Cowes Marina are offering a 10% discount to those attending The Wight Proms. Simply mention you are attending when you make your reservation for the discount to be applied.
