Lunchtime Concert Series 2022

We would like to bring you a bit of the Wight Proms throughout the year and not just in August, and so we've launched our first ever Lunchtime Concert Series. Taking place at 12:30 on Wednesdays and each lasting 40 minutes, they are the ideal addition to your lunch break.

Please scroll down after the event listing for more information about what to expect when you arrive at the Wight Proms, and find out about our associated charity, Independent  Arts.

  • Due to the licensing at the venue, you can not bring your own alcohol, as only alcohol purchased on site can be consumed. There will be a bar on site with a range of tipples, as well as non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks for you to purchase. Please note that all monies from drinks sales go directly to Northwood House Charitable Trust to help maintain its grade II* listed Georgian manor house and its gardens. You can also pre-order drinks when you buy tickets.

  • There are no food stalls, however you can pre-order a hamper of IOW goodies or a Cream Tea to collect on arrival, or you can bring your own food.

opening times

  • Our gates will open at the times stated above, at which time you can visit the bar, and there will usually be entertainment on the outdoor stage before, and in some cases after the main shows as listed above.

  • There is an on-site car park (entrance on Ward Avenue) which costs £3 per vehicle and must be paid in cash on the day, or you can pre-order a voucher when buying your tickets.

Due to the ongoing concern of Covid and its associated restrictions, there are a number of things that are different this year, as follows:

  • There are no VIP tickets this year. However, instead you can book a very limited number of tickets for either a 'table & chairs' or a 'rattan sofa' which are covered by a roof.

  • You can buy a whole 'table & chairs' for 4 or 6 people, most of which are in the open-air, but a limited number are covered overhead.

  • We are not able to run the free children's workshops, but we hope to bring them back next year!

Please note

  • You can read our FAQs here for more information.

  • These are outdoor concerts. Only 'table & chairs' tickets include seating, and other ticket-holders are expected to sit on the lawn or bring their own seating. For those bringing seating, you may be asked to position yourselves in a designated area to avoid blocking the view of those behind you, so we advise bringing a blanket to sit on if you want to be close to the stage. Please don't bring gazebos or tables!

Our associated charity

  • When you buy tickets you can donate to our associated local charity Independent Arts who use the arts to improve well-being, quality of life and to reduce social isolation on the Isle of Wight, since 1987 (Charity No. 297474).

  • The shows will take place no matter what the weather, and ticket-holders will only receive a refund if the concert itself is cancelled by the organiser.

  • The published line-up and venue may be subject to change. Your ticket admits to a festival, not a specific artist or location. Tickets are sold subject to the organiser's right to alter or vary the published event programme and venue, which may result in changes to the performance line-up, playing times or any other aspect of the event. The organiser reserves all rights in this regard. Any published start and finish times of a performance at the Event may be subject to change. The organiser shall not be liable for any change to the venue or the programme of a published start or finish time.
